Torch On Felt Roofing

Torch on felting is a flat roof covering solution that involves three layers of modified bitumen (felt) melt welded onto the roof surface on top of each other with a blowtorch to create an impenetrable, water seal.

Traditionally the three layers used in the process are a vapour control layer, underlay and a cap sheet with a mineral finish.

GRP ( fibreglass) Roofing

A GRP Roofing system is a lightweight, single-ply membrane which is applied to secured OSB 3 decking boards. Its core materials consist of Resin, Fibreglass Matting and Topcoat. Once applied correctly, a GRP Roof will last in excess of 20 years. Once cured fibreglass is inert and it will not rot or corrode. This means little maintenance is required on this type of roofing system. A GRP Roof can be used for both domestic and commercial applications.

Warm Roof Construction

A warm roof is a type of roof construction which has an insulation layer above the rafters and immediately below its weatherproof membrane. A warm roof construction has many benefits over a traditional ‘cold roof’, essentially it is a ‘breathable roof construction, which allows moisture to escape which in turn prevents dampness and any associated decay problems. A warm roof construction allows heat to be conserved within a property – without the need for a ventilation system.

Polycarbonate Roofs

Polycarbonate roofing is made from strong plastic materials that are lightweight and able to withstand high temperatures.

Polycarbonate roofs are perfect for conservatories, patio covering and outside lean too.

Skylight Roofs

Roof skylights are a great way to let natural light into any room, they come in lots of different shapes and sizes and also glass or plastic with a translucent or transparent finish.

Guttering, Fascias & Soffits

UPVC soffits and fascias are crucial elements to your roofline. They help to collect rainwater and prevent moisture from getting into the roof and walls of your property.  Without these, your home may be susceptible to leaking which can cause damage to your brickwork and lead to rotting.

If your soffits and fascias are old or need replacing then your home could also be at risk.  Warped or damaged roofline can result in similar damage as well as leaving your home open to entry from pesky critters.

Dry Verge

Dry verge roofing is an effective and more durable alternative to wet verge roofing. Rather than using mortar, interlocking caps are used that fit over the edge of roof tiles.

The caps themselves are often made out of plastic which has its own advantages. Firstly, the material is very durable and should last you at least 10 years. Another advantage includes the lack of maintenance required – unlike mortar there is very little (and in some cases no) maintenance required for dry verge roofing.

Dry Ridge

A dry ridge system refers to a method of installing a new roof by mechanically fixing ridge tiles, or hip ridge tiles, to a roof. This process does not include the traditional sand and cement mortar, instead relying on a dry fix system that, generally, uses screws. The screws – often stainless steel – attach the clamps between the joints of the dry ridge tiles, thus clamping them to the roof. Underneath the screws are also waterproof unions, designed to catch rainfall and disperse it sideways to reduce the risks of roof leaks during heavy rainfall.
